Men Like Us is a growing men's movement designed to bring men together in a safe environment while challenging and encouraging them to authentic Christian manhood and accountability as we become disciples of Jesus Christ and glorify God in our Faith, Family, Fellowships and Finances.
The unique aspect of this ministry is how the Lord draws men to our ministry; no popular speakers, no expensive marketing campaigns, no promise of wealth or success, we simply create an environment whereas ordinary men can seek to hear from an extraordinary God.
This method of ministry requires men to engage in face-to-face encounters; sharing their struggles and successes, their trials and triumpiths in life, fellowship, evangelism and discipleship.
All our life-shops and bible study's are biblically sound, relevant, well balanced, candid and refreshingly transparent.
Men Like Us, offers an assortment of opportunities to address the "whole" man. Beginning with our need to have "real" relationships with other men.
We offer safe entry points for men to learn, serve, heal and grow. Although we host life-shops, seminars and small group opportunities, they are simply the launching pad for progressive discipleship making.
The ultimate objective is that men would model authentic Christianity; where we seek to support rather than dominate or be insensitive to women, empower and mentor rather than control younger men, minister and complement rather than compete with other men.
It there was ever a time for men to be men, that time is NOW!
The Bible recounts David's final instructions in 2 Kings 2:2 before dying, charging his son Solomon to
"Be strong...and show yourself a man"
The exhortation to men is just as valid today as it was then.
