Women Like Us is a grass roots movement developed to inform, edify and encourage women to embrace the blessing of 'being" a woman.
At the heart of this ministry is the fact that women were also created in the image of God. This is the basis of our self-worth. Knowing that we are made in God's image provides a solid basis for self-worth.
While the culture seeks to redefine the worth of a woman based on possessions, achievements, physical attractiveness, public acclaim and being in competition with men; women can be content with the role and function in which God created them. The role of a women is invaluable to the development, stability and security of the family which is the foundation of society. And because women bear God's image they can feel positive about themselves, and can find security in knowing that they are a person of worth and that they can make a valuable contribution to those around them.
The focus of this ministry is Faith, Family, Forgiveness and Freedom.
All our life-shops and bible studies are biblically sound, relevant, well balanced, candid and refreshingly transparent.
Women Like Us, offers an assortment of opportunities to address the "whole" woman beginning with our need to be nurturers.
We also realize that women have real unique needs and real unique challenges, and this ministry will create an environment whereas women can express their feminity and strengths, trials and triumphs, where they can grow and heal; and glorify God in the expression in which they were created.
In Proverbs 31 the writer extols the virtues of a noble wife, although the characteristics of a woman are not limited to the descriptions listed, but there is much to take away from this chapter.
Verse 30 tells why she is praised, not because of her charm or her beauty, but because she fears the Lord. By fearing God, women can live wisely and righteously.
